OpenIDS Data Standards WG

Welcome to the OpenIDS Data Standards Working Group (DSWG).

The purpose of this WG is to create an open forum for insurance industry participants to work collaboratively on data standards that can be used by the entire Insurance Industry. Starting with Property and Casualty Insurance, the community will meet, work and develop data standards that will benefit all players in the insurance space.

Meetings

The DSWG meets for 30 minutes, every other Monday at 4:30pm ET / 3:30pm CT 1:30pm PT. You can find the main meeting page and the individual agendas at this link. All DSWG calls are held under the Linux Foundation Antitrust Policy and Code of Conduct. Agendas are sent out in advance and these meetings are recorded.

Communication

The DSWG uses the every-other-week zoom call and the mailing list for communication with participants. You can subscribe to the mailing list by sending an email here: data-standards-wg@lists.openidl.org. You will receive a confirmation email, so please follow the instructions to be properly subscribed.

Specifications Process

The DSWG will be following a modified version of the Community Specifications Process from the Joint Development Foundation at the Linux Foundation. You can find out more about the Community Specification process at this link.

Overall, DSWG will work together to create Data Specification based on the following outline:
