03. Scope
This document outlines the scope of work undertaken by the OpenIDS Data Specifications Working Group.
Objectives
The objective of this Working Group is to document the existing de facto standard as the initial OpenIDS Data Specification and put the specification on a standards track. Once the work on defining the initial specification is sufficiently far along, the Working Group will develop additional versions of the specification evolving from the initial specification.

Meeting Schedule and Notes
The DSWG meets for 30 minutes, every other Monday at 4:30pm ET / 3:30pm CT 1:30pm PT. All DSWG calls are held under the Linux Foundation Antitrust Policy and Code of Conduct. Agendas are sent out in advance and these meetings are recorded. You can find meeting pages/agendas and details at the main meeting page or the list at the left under “DSWG Meetings”.

Mailing List: The DSWG uses the every-other-week zoom call and the mailing list for communication with participants. You can subscribe to the mailing list by sending an email here: data-standards-wg@lists.openidl.org. You will receive a confirmation email, so please follow the instructions to be properly subscribed. All subscribers can send and comment on emails to the list.
